  • We had an awesome tour guide, he was very knowledgeable about the farm. The weather was beautiful. We saw different kinds of wood on the cabins. We saw huge oxen, there were roosters, chickens, cows. Saw vegetable gardens. We got a chance to see old slave quarters and a smoke house where they still cure the meat and let it hang up for a whole year before they can cook it. We saw the furnishings that were in the slave quarters. What was missing was more livestock and there were no horses.
  • Do not miss this place. You really felt like you stepped back in time. But please don't just walk around. Talk to the staff. They are amazing and knew so much. They really added so much detail that you never would have gotten otherwise.
