  • You can drive most of the way down the dirt road then park and walk the rest of the way. Near the summit be careful of the broken glass. You can climb the fire tower and if it is manned you can go...  more »
  • I hiked the access road to the tower. To my disappointment, the tower was locked. In the summer there are actual hiking trails, though they're poorly marked. Overall it's a moderate hike, steep in a few sections. Good exercise, but rather boring. There's not much to see until you reach the summit. The view from the summit is decent, Washington and the presidential range are visible but obscured by trees, radio towers, and the fire tower. If the fire tower were open the view from inside would most definitely be fantastic. It's unfortunate that it's locked. I would only hike this again to access the tower, if it's open in the future.
