  • Interesting Civil War memorial site. Small, but well cared for. Very beautiful, meaningful and peaceful.  more »
  • Waterloo locals are recognized for their sacrifice to this great country. A nice way to memorialize them.  more »
  • This is located in a quiet corner area where Route 96 meets the Seneca Canal. Simple and impressive, the good citizens of Waterloo keep it maintained to the pride of the community. A place for reflection on the 57 soldiers from Seneca County who gave their lives in the Civil War for freedom, including one Brigadier General. Worth a visit.
  • I have a great love for this place. Being from Seneca County Waterloo being the birth place of Memorial Day it seemed right to have a memorial spot for the Civil War dead of the village. My late husband was asked to help research the records to find the names. I can only hope we do the best we can to honor them.
