Little Pine State Park is a Pennsylvania state park on in Cummings Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania in the United States. Little Pine State park is along of Little Pine Creek, a tributary of Pine Creek, in the midst of the Tiadaghton State Forest. A dam on the creek has created a lake covering for fishing, boating, and swimming. The park is on Pennsylvania Route 4001, northeast of the unincorporated village of Waterville or southwest of the village of English Center. The nearest borough is Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, about south at the mouth of Pine Creek on the West Branch Susquehanna River.
Native AmericansHumans have lived in what is now Pennsylvania since at least 10,000 BC. The first settlers were Paleo-Indian nomadic hunters known from their stone tools. The hunter-gatherers of the Archaic period, which lasted locally from 7000 to 1000 BC, used a greater variety of more sophisticated stone artifacts. The Woodland period marked the gradual transition to semi-permanent villages and horticulture, between 1000 BC and 1500 AD. Archeological evidence found in the state from this time includes a range of pottery types and styles, burial mounds, pipes, bows and arrows, and ornaments.

  • Located right next to Happy Acres resort. Nice area with great views of the mountain sides. Park was very well kept and the DCNR officer was very friendly and knowledgeable about the park. Also has...  more »
  • Many of the trails are moderate to difficult. Be prepared to do a lot of uphill hiking, but we absolutely loved it. Beautiful scenery, and lots of trails to choose from. The Lake Shore loop is the....  more »
  • Great place to go. Pine Creek and it's bike trail are down the road from the park. Super friendly people. Pretty good restaurant at entrance to camping area. But the FLIES are absolutely terrible. Depends on season. This was written on July 18
  • It was pouring when I was here but I still had a fantastic time and saw some bald eagles soaring over the river and in the trees. It's a lovely small park.
