  • Fantastic collection of American painting. Never ceased to amaze me how much this small Maine museum had to offer. As a Skowhegan alumni I'm glad to have seen it.
  • This museum is interesting. You would not consider it a breathtaking expression of contemporary art, nor the keeper of classic pieces, but instead an interesting blend of new and old. The flow makes it one of the most interesting to behold. There is one room in particular that had such an energy ✨️ that I wanted to lay down in the middle of the room and soak it all in. As someone with a fear of large statues, I found the pieces to be reasonable in size. There is one area that has large scale faces which can be a bit unnerving, and interesting at the same time. The best part of this museum? It's free!! There aren't many interesting things to do in Waterville, but this is a must see if you are visiting the area, and wondering what to do.
