Featuring a picturesque gorge cut through by Glen Creek and 19 different waterfalls, Watkins Glen State Park offers outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, and fishing. Three different trails provide access to the 120 m (400 ft) deep gorge and surrounding forests. Some even wind their way under waterfalls. Comfortable campsites have amenities including showers, a food store, organized recreation programs and tours, and an Olympic-sized pool for both day and overnight visitors. The park is open year round, but this is not true for all facilities. Be sure to check the website ahead of time when planning a visit. We stayed here for just under three hours; This is actually enough if you want to visit other stations on the day in question-like us-and visit them. What we have noticed positively: The further you follow the water and the closer you get to the final and target point, the less Americans accompany you. You're not used to walking that far there ... Only the end station is somehow unspectacular: A full, Schramby excursion hut with a vending machine for drinks. A nice gastronomy, where you might still have a coffee, does not exist there. Too bad actually.

I love 4 hours from here and never been to it until last year. It's a gem, it's beautiful and very relaxing during the hiking, love all the waterfalls. Can be very crowded during the weekends but is worth it. I wish I live closer so I can visit every weekend. Definitely will visit in the future if I'm nearby.
Fantastic park! I really really enjoyed everything offered here! The falls and the river are gorgeous of course and the trails that lead away from the water are also clean. Some parts of the trail were steep and might be slightly technical, be aware.
