Laura S. Walker State Park, Waycross

We did not get to spend as much time here as we have wanted. We do not like that the hiking trails or across a road and are not contained inside the park. Camping facilities look to be fairly nice and also have a good space between them. Place was completely packed over the weekend. Lake is very beautiful and open. The staff there was also pleasant and you are close to a decently size city in case you need supplies.

Ms. Laura Walker is a stunning state park located on the northern edge of Okefenokee swamp — near Waycross, Ga. Beautiful old 🌲 and oak trees, water lilies, vibrant flowers, native wildlife and moss all around the park. Several hiking trails, a beach 🏖 swimming area they’re working on completing, a dog park and a golf ⛳️course. The campground is nice and clean. Cottages are beautiful. There’s a fitness zone and several play areas for children. Lots to see and do — fishing, paddle boarding, bird watching, Kayaking, 🏃🏾‍♀️🛳🚴. Georgia has some of the most beautiful and well maintained state parks. A must see. ❤️
