  • Well preserved Texas historic site. The state does a great job of maintaining this. The small museum is in great condition in the visitor center as well as the one in the building a few doors down. Highly reccomend getting the map and advice from the visitor center about how to plan your visit. Wear good walking shoes for your visit and bring a water bottle and sack lunch. It's a gorgeous plantation to visit.
  • I haven't visited the plantation in 20 years and decided to take my kids there while we were visiting Texas this summer. The plantation, gift shop, and grounds are incredibly well kept. It is very informative and beautiful. The magnolia trees were my favorite, but my kids really liked the outdoor bathtub.
