Tamarack Nature Center, White Bear Lake

I love tamarack. It's one of the best nature centers in the Twin Cities. I used to teach preschool and I would bring my students there every fall to learn about squirrels, apples, and other fall-related things. It was a huge hit and it was always so after appropriate. Now I take my daughter there in the summer to enjoy their garden and exploration area. They have a beautiful garden area where kids can water the garden, play, learn about plants, and just flex that curiosity muscle that they so naturally always want to flex. They also have a fun rock area to climb on, a creek to play in, trails, and a big stuck area to play and build with sticks. You guys, you have to go there. It's the best for kids. Truly. It's so awesome for curiosity, sensory, imaginative play, cooperative play, socialization, adventure, and basically everything.

Every summer I go to this place for summer camp. It is always so delightful! The camps are better because of all the kind staff. The trails are fun and there are always fun things to do there. The garden is amazing and I have always loved it. Nature is so stunning and I am so happy that they are preserving it.
