  • My family and I scheduled to use Pocono Bike Rental's services on 7/25/19 and we were so happy we did! Tom was unbelievably accommodating, very professional and yet personal! The equipment we rented for my husband and I worked great and was comfortable (our three sons used their own bikes, which Tom noticed one of their tires was not properly inflated and he fixed it for us). You can't beat the ride in his amazing transportation, a very fancy shuttle equipped with AC and he was playing great music! Most of the other trips we witnessed, people were getting dropped off in school buses...yep, no AC and lots and lots of crammed in people. Our ride was so clean, comfortable and we were able to enjoy the conversation. My children being in seat belts was also a big plus for me (and so were my husband and I! We've been travelling to this area since 1996 (my triplets since 2004) and Tom taught us about great places to visit/hike/swim/etc., and new things about the areas we were driving through, that we never knew-adventures we will be taking in the future! Once we arrived at the drop-off site, he told our family about some great stops along the trail, that we may have missed otherwise, and he also recommended a great place by the falls for us to stop and have lunch. We were able to go at our own pace and bike drop-off was so easy and convenient. My family and I can't recommend this business enough; pricing was very fair and better than most we found online! As far as the negative comments people are leaving, ALL the instructions we received were BEYOND clear and direct. All you have to do is read the instructions and FOLLOW THEM! We received confirmation emails and text messages, along with very clear directions about where to meet and clear instructions to be there 15 minutes in advance. We also made sure we gave ourselves some extra time, just in case, but his directions for the pickup location were spot on. He is a business owner and his time is just as valuable as your own. Have some courtesy and be on time, otherwise, you're making him look bad for his next customers and you're holding up other customers from their adventures. Think about it!!!
  • Tom is a hard-working business person who is making a memorable Poconos biking experience available to everyone. My tips to make it go smoothly- * Be on time. If you don't know exactly where it is, check it out beforehand. Arrive 15 minutes early. * Take plenty of water in the warm months. The water fountains at the halfway point are not operable, probably due to Covid restrictions. * Make sure that you don't poke around too much while you're up there. You need to get the bike/s back before the 5pm cutoff. * Lock any valuables in your trunk or wear a backpack with important things inside. It's not worth taking a chance of losing your stuff. * Keep in mind that the cell service (especially Verizon) is VERY bad around here and sometimes the communication doesn't work as quickly as expected. I saw families with young children having a great time with no problem on the bikes. Personally, it was a little hard for me- a 68 yo heart patient. But I did it and feel very good about completing the trail. Especially after Tom gave us 2 more bottles of water at the pickup point :) Thank you!
