Very pretty, with a nice walk around the lake and some informational signs. There is a path to a quarry that I didn't have time to follow, but friends tell me is pretty cool. A nice, shady area with a bunch of picnic tables made for a lovely lunch stop. Note that there are no toilets here (at least when the welcome centre is closed) and you have to take any trash with you, but there is a tap with potable water for filling up bottles.
Beautiful and quiet place. Not as crowded as other Hudson Hudson Valley hikes. Expect a lot of bugs due to the adjacent swamp. The Quarry is spectacular.
