You can just feel the bad guys and their horses hiding out here years ago! When you take the trail to climb to the top be sure and go to the left side to begin. We were quite lost for a while... more »
We had an amazing time. I hadn't been there since I was a kid but my memories of the place held true. My kids were exhausted at the end of the day. We honestly didn't even make it to the cave. We went on the medium length hike which goes way around behind the cave and took us approximately 3 hours or so (it has been a few months so the hike could have been longer). If you are able I definetly recommend going on this trail as it is very scenic. It is worth the hike. The facilities were very well kept and clean. We drove back up to the lake to have lunch. The small play area was nice for younger children and the park as a whole is picturesque. We Will be heading back soon in the fall I am sure.
Love it. Had my daughters birthday party here. Parking was great. Was lake front next to potluck benches and grills. There's a gift shop, a catfish feeding area, horse riding and all kinds of other great things.
