The Rex Allen Museum is located in one of Willcox's oldest commercial buildings. Constructed in the early 1890's of adobe, it was purchased in 1897 by Josef Schwertner and operated as the Schley Saloon from 1897-1919. The front of the Museum has been restored to resemble the original saloon storefront.

  • I lived through the age of Disney's Wonderful World of Color and Rex Allen was the narrator of many of the features on this show. He was a popular singer, and a Movie Cowboy, but I am more familiar....  more »
  • Very nice museum! Actually a few categories in this museum. Not only Rex Allen, also his son & local cowboys hall of fame. I found this museum quite interesting. Small, yes. But very well organized & displayed. If in the area I recommend this & the Marty Robbins museum just 2 doors east. Veterans mention your service & entrance is free. Otherwise admission price is $2
  • This a great place to go for everyone, Willcox has a lot of old history. They have a lot of Rex Allens clothing, Movie Memorabilia, And also my wife Jan works there, So stop in and say Hi.
