Rennie Orchards is owned and operated by Sandy Rennie. The farm was originally purchased by the Rennie family in 1938 and was converted from potatoes to cherries. One of the few original family farms still in operation, Rennie Orchards now offers u-pick/we-pick cherries beginning July 1st, along u-pick apples featuring some of the best Honey Crisps in Michigan. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Rennie Orchards and many more Williamsburg attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Williamsburg vacation maker app.
We’re a true family farm. We enjoy good family fun and the beautiful surroundings of northern Michigan. In July, right at the conclusion of the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City–when the cherries are perfectly ripe, I love to host families, friends, church groups, and anyone wanting a pristine setting for a lovely, relaxing morning or afternoon. I provide a bucket and special harness I designed myself and send you out into the orchard to pick the varieties of cherries that are perfect that day. I’m pretty picky, and I want you to pick and take home only the very best fruit from our farm. No exceptions. My team will direct you to the cherries that are the most perfect for picking that day. If you’d rather stop by and pick up some cherries that we've just picked and packaged, we can do that, too. Either way, we welcome you to come visit us. Plus, now, I’m working on shipping fresh-picked cherries and apples to your home or office. What a great gift for your favorite friends–or even for yourself!
In September and October, I have wonderful apples ready for picking. One of several outstanding varieties is the acclaimed Honey Crisp. We've gotten lots of kudos on our Honey Crisp apples for sure! For special fun, we offer a apple wagon ride, and fresh-pressed apple cider. Children also enjoy visiting our tee-pee, log cabin, and kids maze.

Apple picking was great. Hay ride was fun. Donuts were brought in from a local bakery and were not very good. more »

My mother-in-law and I went here and picked cherries. It was easy peasy and we had a good time. The Rennie's staff is very knowledgeable about the cherries and it can be a fun activity. more »

Awesome place for cherry pick. Good variety and good staff members. Probably the only place opened in Traverse area during the cherry festival

We go every year. The small buckets for the kids are great--gives them a way to get involved. Terrific place!
