From day one, Flytrap has been created as a community centered business with a neighborhood feel. This makes the Brooklyn Arts District the perfect home for our brewery and tap-room. Along with hand crafted tasty, small batch beers, we strive to positively influence our community and Wilmington’s craft beer scene.
Our Brewery is named for the Venus flytrap, a carnivorous plant whose only native habitat in the world is within a 60 mile radius of Wilmington, NC. We are proud to call this our home and to be associated with such a unique and impressive member of our environment.

My first time there! I'm not a beer drinker, I was the designated driver. The music was great. The food truck was yummy. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their libations. I had a fizzy mango juice which was pretty good. The staff was great and our bartender was delightful and attentive. Her name was Veronica.

I would give a 5 bc I love the beer and live music, and space……BUT they are understaffed with one bartender on during a music event. There was a line that lasted 10 minutes which is eh….but the real reason for my 4 rating is the fact that with the line and all of us waiting , the bartender repeatedly allowed walk ups and waited on them before patiently waiting line folk. Three people did this in 10 minutes. Better leadership is needed here.
