  • Went on ghost walk and caught a glimpse of the battleship.
  • I will have to say it was worth the hour and a half trip up here to Wilmington. My mother and I went out for her birthday to the German cafe downtown, as well as the downtown historic carriage ride. It was a nice scenic route going through historical building and homes that were 100+ years old. The carriage ride was $14 per adult. It is free for children under 12. We were also provided a complimentary blanket/quilt for the ride. And were also allowed to pet and take pictures with the beautiful Amish rescue house that pulled us. The German cafe was just what I had hoped for my German mother. Delicious desert (almond cheesecake and a blueberry strudel with whipp cream and authentic simple German cuisine. Definitely worth the experience! You should stop by on your way into downtown Wilmington! I will have to say that finding FREE parking was a bit difficult... but thanks to some locals near the Riverwalk they guided us to a parking location.
