Hussey's General Store, Windsor

I believe the pictures will speak for themselves but will not give you the enjoyment as I received when I arrived here. Ask for Angela she is the star of the show, kind sweet and truly enjoys her job. She will go above and beyond to make you smile while assisting you in every way possible. They have all you can ask for in a General Store. The customer service person who assisted me is also outstanding and professional. As for the cashiers it is a hit or miss. Not to friendly or polite to serve you but the rest of the staff are the crew who make up for it!

We stopped at Hussey’s General store with a Maryland friend. . . . enjoyed our 60 minute walk back in time searching 3 floors of an amazing array of “ fun stuff” ! I think I did pick up a case of jelly jars ! Here’s a little background on Hussey’s: *Harland Hussey opened in a stable, at the Dutton Farm , 1923 *1954 moved to current location, was the old Haskell store *Mildred Hussey started Wedding & Formal gowns in Terrace department *5 generations of family members *Jay Hussey & Kristen Ballantyne owners *Over 30,000 sq. ft. in size, 3 floors *Open 7 days a week TRIVIA Answer: Hussey’s GENERAL Store sells a wide variety of items in different categories of merchandise, in a rural small town. Usually considered needed daily supplies under one roof. A DEPARTMENT Store refers to a larger establishment that sells a larger selection of items with each merchandise category. . . example a cosmetic department that may carry 5 brands of lipstick, or 10 brands of perfume, with one knowledgeable person in that specific area of merchandise. As a comparison . . .
