Great River Bluffs State Park is a state park of Minnesota, United States, on the Mississippi River southeast of Winona. Originally known as O. L. Kipp State Park, it was renamed in the late 1990s to describe better its resources. The park preserves steep-sided bluffs rising 500 feet (150 m) above the river and the narrow valleys between them, which support rare and fragile plant communities. Two of the bluffs have received further protection under the Minnesota Scientific and Natural Areas program, which are known as King's and Queen's Bluff Scientific and Natural Area.

  • One of the best state parks I’ve been to. The views are breathtaking. We did all the trails, but the kings bluff one was the highlight of the trip. Pics do not do justice. I’d imagine the views to be phenomenal once the colors really start changing.
  • This is such a wonderful hidden state park. It's one that you generally don't think of when you are looking for places to go. It's a very low maintenance park with out a visitor station or anything. There is a check-in booth at the front where you can buy wood with a cash box. Further down the line, there's parking to various trailheads. The scenery is marvelous and beautiful. You get to look over into the river and bluffs around you. There's a lot of camping spots I see but not much else. There are vault toilets for you to use. Overall, if I lived in the area, this would be really fun to just go and hike often.
