Great River Bluffs State Park is a state park of Minnesota, United States, on the Mississippi River southeast of Winona. Originally known as O. L. Kipp State Park, it was renamed in the late 1990s to describe better its resources. The park preserves steep-sided bluffs rising 500 feet (150 m) above the river and the narrow valleys between them, which support rare and fragile plant communities. Two of the bluffs have received further protection under the Minnesota Scientific and Natural Areas program, which are known as King's and Queen's Bluff Scientific and Natural Area.

  • Beautiful place. I didn't do my research before we ended up here on our trek up North... No electricity. There is fresh water that you can carry back to your site. The bathrooms and showers are excellent and have warm water. This place is remote and quiet. So relaxing. So easy to pay, you just call the number on the site post and a friendly person will get you all taken care of. Then you just fill out your registration provided at the park entrance. Put your confirmation number on it, tear off the part that goes on your vehicle, drop the other part in the box.
  • Breathtaking views, and spacious wooded campsites. Friendly and knowledgeable rangers. Good value for the cost. Would've rated 5 stars except that the campsite we rented was too narrow to get our camper into. We had to switch to another site, which was a hassle and would have been a disaster if there was no other site available. Still, it's a beautiful and a great place to camp.
