Kaleideum North, Winston Salem

This place is absolutely fantastic. It's fun for all ages even the adults. There are so many different things to look at and explore. It is very hands on and makes learning very full. Its takes several hours to get through the entire thing. The shop is very nifty with lots of cute things. They have snacks. They also have events at the location and on the website. Definitely an amazing and cheap day trip.

What a great place for a rainy day! We had hoped to find some playgrounds but the rain didn't let us. Kaleideum offered great interactive exhibits and short but info packed science experiments/presentations. We brought an 11 year old and an 8 year old. I was worried the 11 year old would be "too cool" but he was able to have as much fun as the little people running around. His only complaint was the snakes in the exhibit's. He is terrified and wanted to leave immediately but we were able to convince him to find a different area and try to have fun. It worked. I would live to go back if we visit Winston Salem again.
