  • This is a rather large covered bridge and one of the last railroad covered bridges still in use today. Park in the main parking lot and climb up the stone steps to get a good pic of the bridge.

  • A great example of old Yankee ingenuity. A beautiful covered bridge from a bygone era where rail transportation was the norm. In great shape, the inside shows tremendous craftsmanship and a sturdy structure. It is, however, well off the beaten path and it's surroundings don't look as though they have been maintained very well. There is a small covered display area that lacks any display at all. The information pamphlets bin seems like it has been empty for ages. With a little effort and funding, this could be a great tribute to the railroad's legacy.
  • Did a bit of fishing before the freezing weather kicked in this year. Very quiet. Not amused by the used home toilet someone left near the parking area, and kids have been doing "burnouts" in the parking lot, so that could be cleaned and stopped, Vermonters, but otherwise it's getting a makeover and is usually very well groomed.
