Cook's Bison Ranch believes that bison meat is the meat for the future. We strive to produce a quality product that is naturally tasty, tender, and healthy. Bison meat has no gamey flavor. You can now imagine eating a delicious red meat and not feel guilty.
Our animals receive no growth hormones or stimulants, and we raise almost all our own hay and grain for feed. We feel it is important that we can provide all of our customers with accurate information on the meat they are buying.
What all began with family: grandpa's farm as a home for the bison, grandpa's old hay wagon used for giving hay ride tours, grandpa's tractor for doing chores, grandpa's barn for storing equipment, and grandpa's spirit which still lives on, still perseveres with family. The whole family welcomes you to be our guests for a distinct taste and unique trip out to see a true American icon. Visit Cook's Bison Ranch and be a part of our living history.

We enjoyed getting to see these animals up close. Got a couple bags of feed (extra charge), took the wagon ride into the field and was able to feed them right from our hands. Get prepared for some... more »

I have been there two times in 3 months. It's best to go and reserve your time on their site. They do except Groupon tickets, which is great. People are very nice and knowledgeable , you see a lot of bison. You can buy a whole bag of feed for two-fifty. And the kids love it. The bison WILL lick you and try to get your hand, but it doesn't hurt. You have to make sure they're open so check online. Just don't assume they're going to be open on a Saturday all day thats stupid.
My husband and I stopped here on vacation and were SO glad we did! The entire experience was wonderful and the atmosphere relaxing and beautiful. The wagon ride to feed the bison was so much fun and educational too. The staff was not only friendly, but knowledgeable as well. Our meal was ready in no time and was very tasty. I'd never tasted bison before, so didn't know what to expect. Don't pass up a chance to visit the bison. You won't be disappointed!
