We tackled Mt Tom shortly after the recent snowfall - challenging but fun hike. Can't wait to try it again in the spring.

My wife and I hiked Mount Tom yesterday under a canopy of hemlocks and sugar maples. Beautiful forest and met two nice couples along the trail. Trails were well marked.

Definitely amazing views and worth the hike! The path is very wide and easy to walk. I’m not an avid hiker and it was no problem at all. There were signs leading you to the right place. Just follow the sign that says “To Mountain Road” and you will get to the top to Mount Tom. We had trouble finding the starting point, but we ended up at Billings Farm & Museum, parked there, then crossed the road to the visitors center. We then took a left and walked straight up from there. It took about 2.5hrs round trip. It was around 3-4 miles total. You can see the whole town of Woodstock from there, as well as some other scenic views.

What a beautiful hiking spot! Not challenging at all, very pet and family friendly! For such a small "mountain" (hill in my mind) it has a exceptional view of Woodstock! Very well manicured trails to walk with a quiet serene lake, and random pastures with tall grass that flows with the wind. Small park visitor center as well with incredibly friendly staff!
