Bale Breaker Brewing Company was founded in 2013 in Moxee, WA, but our story starts back in 1932, when our great-grandparents planted our family’s first five-acre hop field in the Yakima Valley. Now, 80+ years later, our love of hops and passion for craft beer has led us to where we are today – running a craft brewery surrounded by our family’s hop fields, just minutes from where we were born and raised. Before you head to Yakima, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly Yakima day trip app, to make sure you see all that Yakima has to offer, including Bale Breaker Brewing Company.

Stopped in for a brew after work mid-week. A couple locals were already partaking. Great selection with a few specialty ales on tap that you won't find any other than at the brewery. Knowledgeable.... more »

Update: They were on a team float trip. Having gone on a float trip 2 days ago there, I can say with certainty I would've forgotten to update the hours as well in my excitement. I couldn't stay disappointed for long because Bale Breakers has great customer service and great beer. I went to Yakima for a weekend float trip and was very excited to find an AirBnB that was close to Bale Breaker Brewing. Our group went floating on Saturday, and were too tired when we made it home to make it to the brewery. No matter, we thought, we can just go tomorrow on our way home. Turns out, Bale Breaker does not do a great job of updating their hours online. While it said they were open from 12pm - 6pm on Sunday, they weren't actually open, closed due to 'team bonding'. I was very disappointed to say the least. I really like their beer (and that was why I couldn't give 1 star), and was quite excited to sample some of their beers that aren't widely distributed. Instead, I was served a cold glass of sadness, only partially relieved by another brewery we ended up at in Yakima with not as good beer. I guess I'll have to come back to Yakima at some point, and hope to go again on a lucky day when their hours listed online are actually correct.

I first had this beer at a bar in Seattle and I loved it. As soon as I found out it is from my beloved Yakima Valley, I loved it even more! My favorite is the Field 41! On Wednesday and Sundays they have catered food from Guerra's, and both the food and drinks are a great match!
