Here in the Ahtanum Valley, just west of Yakima, our ancestors chose the agrarian life, all the way back in 1897. The simple joys of our rural community, and the products it bears, still speak to us today. For Gilbert Cellars and beyond, use our Yakima attractions planning website to get the most from your Yakima vacation.
In 2004, the fifth generation of Gilberts began the work of producing true-to-varietal wines from our vineyards in Washington state.
Besides making wine, we make our own fun, which involves throwing a party (or two) and inviting our favorite musicians and artists to share their talents with us.
Growing and creating products and experiences that matter is both our ends and our means. We believe that what we’re doing matters: we’re making an authentic product that comes from the place that we love. Cheers!
Gilbert Cellars Reviews
Nice tasting room with enough room to relax. Wine tasting was priced right and well presented. Little hard too find with Google maps, it is located on the main street. Wine is worth the stop. more »
Low key quiet place to just drink good wine, nosh on some olives and almonds, and just enjoy the ambience. more »
Have visited Gilbert Cellars on numerous occasions and have never been let down. Stopped in this evening and enjoyed a bottle with a couple of friends. There were a few other small groups in the tasting room, which made for a pleasant atmosphere that was neither too quiet nor overcrowded. The employees working were also very helpful and allowed us to try several of the wines before we made our decision so thank you Shannon and Eric for great service and your wealth of knowledge. Whether you’re looking for a nice glass of wine or a beer to pass the time or someplace to meet up with friends for a great evening Gilbert Cellars is worth a try.
came from out of town and was hoping to do a tasting. they stop at 5 so we were late. however, we were given a free tasting of 1 wine which we then bought a glass of. the gentleman was very nice and knowledgeable and the wine was good!
