  The AZ parks did a great job with this park. This is a real hike! Wear appropriate clothing and shoes and bring water. Round trip is about 4 hours. A ranger is stationed at the small parking lot...  more »

  I am a fireman’s daughter who is now the mother to a fireman’s son, this was very very touching! I think it means more to Firemen’s families who knows their loved ones put their lives on the line...  more »

  The first quarter mile is the rough part due to some high steps made of rock and also very steep. It gets a little easier on up with long switch back trail systems. This is not a Sunday stroll. Be prepared for a real work out.

  Beautiful hike about 7 miles and moderate. Incline mostly but switchback gradual to the memorial. Park Rangers come by often, hike the trail and are very knowledgeable. Info exhibit on the memorial, pictures of the firefighters, timeline of the tragic fire and sign in book at the parking lot. Great day hike just outside of Wickenburg on the way to Prescott.
