Midway Geyser Basin, Yellowstone National Park

Midway Geyser Basin contains presumably the hottest thermo-features of Yellowstone National park. Its main attractions are the Grand Prismatic Spring which is huge colorful hotspring, and Excelsior Geyser crater which does not erupt anymore but discharge huge amount of hotwater in nearby Firehole River. The basin has also opal Pool which is more colorful than Turquoise Pool not far from it. There is a mostly oneway boardwalk that helps navigate the area There is a large parking lot with bathrooms but due to popularity of this basin it gets fill quickly.
