The world's biggest log hotel, Old Faithful Inn provides unobstructed views of the world-famous geyser "Old Faithful" named because of the predictable nature of its eruptions. Designed by architect Robert Reamer, the building features a multi-story lobby with a massive stone fireplace flanked by long frame wings that house guest rooms. One of the country's finest examples of the "Golden Age" of rustic resort architecture, the inn joined the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 as the centerpiece of the historic district that includes several other buildings and the geyser itself. Constructed using only local materials, the inn remains one of the last great park lodges of the American West, attracting as many visitors today as it did when it opened in 1904. We have stayed at this inn and have always enjoyed it. Within view of the Old Faithful Geyser makes it a stunning location. Our stay was comfortable and we all had good nights of rest. We loved it.

In terms of a place to stay, I'd say 3-star. But the experience itself is 4-star. I love historical or old building, it has a rustic cabin feeling. I stay in their "old " section of the building (there are newer one too). Bathroom is shared but it has the touch of luxury, so not that bad honestly. They have great breakfast, they also have musician playing at certain time, friendly staff, you also get a good view of old faithful. I don't give it 5 stars because their fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night at 2am lucky it's not winer. I don't know how often this happens but definitely a minus. I won't stay here in the wintertime for sure.

Really neat place to stay. All the pictures are within walking distance of the inn. Just a very cool old building. Don't expect luxury rooms. Rooms are very simple and to the point. But we weren't there to stay in the room. The main lobby and balcony were really nice places to hang out. Very busy place.
