  • This little park is a nice setting for a stroll around the duck pond, but the attraction is the multiple Great Egret nests and Black-crowned Heron nests in the trees around the pond. Visit in April.....  more »

  • Although it's located within York City you can find a surprising amount of wildlife here. Black-crowned Night Herons and Great Egret nest here. You can find mallards, Canadian Geese and Double-crested Cormorants as well.
  • It's a big cement bowel fed by a natural stream. It's also a nesting sight for many Canadian geese and several other species of aquatic bird. It is not uncommon to see both a mature and professional photographers both dusk and dawn angling for the perfect shot of the rarer species. It is a bird habitat so strap on the appropriate shoes. There are many bird droppings along the water's edge.
