  • As an attorney, I never pass up an opportunity to visit an old jail. The photo ops are just too good. But it turns out that my kids love it too. My 3 year old must have spent a solid 30 minutes...

  • This is a little Gem. Well located and presented by knowledgeable and personable tour guides, but where were the other visitors. The place is not well advertised in passing through York and hardly...

  • Made a brief stop in York to see some of the historical structures. Ken, Nancy, and David at the Historical Society were all so kind and knowledgeable. Definitely worth a visit if you’re traveling along the East Coast and/or interested in early American history.
  • We recently had the sincere pleasure of visiting the Old York Village historical site and it is filled with so many treasures to see and learn about. All of the individuals who work there are full of knowledge and stories that make the visit even more interesting and meaningful and so worthwhile! We learned so much about the history of York and the surrounding area and it truly was an incredible experience and I highly recommend a visit to others! You will be so glad that you visited! We were also fortunate enough to have signed up for the Memorial Day Remembrance Walk, which was led by Ken McAuliffe and Mike and they took us to all the different war memorials in town as well as the cemetery and gave us a tour that was filled with so much history and touching recounts of the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom and for the love of this country. It truly was one of the most meaningful and memorable activities I’ve ever participated in on Memorial Day and I would highly recommend this walk to others! It truly was an incredible experience and it was a vivid reminder about the cost of war and how many lives are forever impacted by those loved ones who so bravely gave their lives for the cost of freedom. The walk is done each year on Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day and one can sign up on the website. Thank you to Ken and Mike for making this walk possible.
