Enjoy magnificent 360-degree views of Yosemite Valley from Taft Point, a glacier observation point. Take a relatively easy hike to reach the vantage point; the short trek leads through the woods but involves a great deal of elevation change, amounting to 60 m (200 ft). Standing at 2,285 m (7,500 ft), the point offers dramatic vistas of Yosemite Falls and the valley walls. Parking is available 2.5 km (1.6 mi) from the point.   • Nice easy hike, except for the end. Views are amazing and the crowds are easy at this time. Worth the effort on the way back from Glacier Point.  more »
  • Sure it is a nice view and can provide a vertiginous feeling near the edge, but it pales when compared to its neighbor view from Sentinel Dome. Definitely worth doing both in the same short loop, but....  more »
