Take in the majesty of nature at Yosemite, Tunnel View, one of Yosemite Park's most iconic viewpoints. This site has drawn visitors, photographers, and artists since it opened in 1933. Those arriving by road must drive through a long, dark tunnel before emerging to see the breathtaking scenery, hence the viewpoint's name. A turn-out with ample parking enables you to stop for photographs of El Capitan, Bridalveil Fall, and Half Dome. If you are feeling adventurous, you can embark on a hike up to Inspiration Point from here. Yosemite, Tunnel View Reviews
Locatie is zeer makkelijk te bereiken vanaf the valley. Parkeren is even lastig, maar meeste bezoekers blijven hier maar kort, dus snel weer plek. Ligt op de weg naar Glacier Point net voor de tunnel.... more »Location is very easy to get to from the valley. Parking is just as tricky, but most visitors stay here short, so fast weather spot. Located on the road to Glacier Point just before the tunnel. Especially nice that here the view can be different every day and every hour again. It is therefore a chance to return to another time if you still have time.
Is there any other place as magnificent as Yosemite? I truly have no words to describe this astonishing and amazing place. You just need to go there for yourself to experience this majestic place. more »
The view is absolutely incredible, it's hard to understand the scale of the rock faces in the pictures and even in person sometimes but El Cap is about 3000ft tall (the big rock face on the left in the pictures). But the ability to see El Cap, Half Dome, the Sentinel and two waterfalls is stunning. Definitely check out the valley, not only is tunnel view great but the roads around the park also provide some great views!
Breathtaking, my favorite landscape on the entire planet. Absolutely will never get old :') To quote John Muir: “Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.”
