The Ward Beecher Planetarium has been offering free programs on astronomy, space science, and related fields to the public for more than 40 years.

Evening programs are geared for general audiences. Saturday afternoon programs normally are intended for families and children.

    We haven't been to the Planetarium since our class in 1984. It brought back a lot of memories. The staff did a wonderful job. Highly recommend. We won't wait so long to go back  more »

    There is never a bad seat in this house. Planetarium is a great part of Youngstown State University and offers year round free programs lead by Universtiy staff. We have never been disappointed in a.....  more »

    The only local planetarium, so it's a good experience. Strange hours because it's actually a classroom at YSU. But they open it to the public as well. It's not a huge place, and the show became boring compared one I saw in Cleveland. But good for kids, a cheap, fun, educational day, great event for a Saturday in the middle of winter.

    Great shows for all ages. My daughter is three and enjoys the shows as much as me and my husband. And the shows are all free!
